The booking is subject to the following Booking Conditions. Confirmation of the booking is acknowledgement of a binding agreement between the Guest and the Owner of the property.
A minimum deposit of up to 50% of the total rate (as specified) is required to confirm a booking. The booking will be confirmed in writing within 7 days of receipt of the deposit. If the booking is made 28 days or less before commencement of the holiday, the full rate is required to effect confirmation. The deposit is non-refundable.
Full and final payment for the holiday booking is required at least 28 days prior to the commencement of the holiday. If the outstanding balance has not been received by the due date, the Owners reserve the right to cancel the booking without notice and the guest will forfeit the deposit.
As part of the Special Conditions of your booking, you are required to pay a refundable security bond of $500. Excess cleaning charges, damages or any stolen items will be deducted from the security bond. The security bond will be refunded in full after the house has been cleaned and checked, providing there are no loss or damages, excess cleaning or stolen items, usually within 14 days after guests vacate. A breach in any of the Booking Conditions may result in forfeiture of the bond.
This is without prejudice to the Owners of the property’s right to take legal action for any damage in excess of $500.
All cancellations are to be received in writing via email or mail. Where written notification of a cancellation is received more than 28 days in advance of the holiday, consideration may be given to allow the guest to transfer the booking to another date, less transfer fee of $50. Should the guest decide not to transfer their booking, the deposit will be forfeit.
Where written notification of a cancellation is received less than 28 days in advance of the holiday, the guest shall be liable for payment of the full rental whether or not occupation of the property occurs.
Once full payment of the tariff is receipted and confirmation details sent, the Property is reserved for the Guest for the specified dates whether or not occupation of the Property occurs.
Where the clients chooses to cut short their stay or reduce the number of guests in the booking, a refund, credit or transfer is not available for any unused portion of the booking.
Number of Guests
For the safety and comfort of both tourist and local residents, the Shire of Exmouth has implemented licences for all Holiday Homes which includes a Code of Conduct that govern the number of guests, vehicles boats and trailers at the property. The number of guests occupying the property for the holiday must not exceed the number specified on the Booking Form.
If for any reason there is a change to the number of guests occupying the property, the Owner must be informed immediately. If approval is given for a change in the number of guests, an additional charge will be payable for each extra guest.
Guests are not permitted to host parties or functions of any kind while staying at the holiday property.
What to Bring
Our Exmouth House is fully self-contained but is not serviced. You will need to provide any items that are not required on a daily basis such as food wrappings, rubbish bin bags, soap, shampoo, toilet paper.
There are two local supermarkets that will supply these items.
Please note: the supermarkets have a no plastic policy. You will need to bring shopping bags or they can be purchased at the supermarkets. Our Exmouth House has some supermarket bags in the pantry that you are welcome to use, please leave them behind when you leave.
Linen and Towels
Our Exmouth House supplies all linen. This includes pillows, continental quilts or doonas, bed sheets, bath towels & bath mats, and tea towels. The supply of bed linen and bath towels is always included in the price.
Beach towels are not supplied.
Arrival / Departure Times
Unless arranged in advance with the Owner, Check-In Time is 2 PM and Check-Out Time is 10 AM. During the low season and for mid-week bookings, these times may be flexible. All requests for varying check in/out times will be accommodated wherever possible. Late departure without prior approval may result in a partial forfeiture of the security bond.
Keys will be made available upon arrival at Our Exmouth House. They will be located in a key box at the rear of the property. The access code on the key box is changed regularly so the day prior to your stay you will be emailed the current key code.
Keys must be returned to the key box on departure. Replacement keys are charged out at $100/key
Dogs and Pets
Pets may be considered at the discretion of the owner. Under no circumstances are guests permitted to bring pets without first seeking permission and then obtaining prior written consent from the owner. In the event a pet is allowed, a pet bond will be required.
Pets are not allowed inside the premises under any circumstances.
Guests are expected to look after and take all reasonable care of the property and all the furnishings and equipment included in the property and to observe the “No Smoking Inside” requirement for the duration of the holiday.
Guests are expected to be considerate to neighbouring properties and not give cause for complaint due to excessive noise or unsociable behaviour. Any faults, damages or breakages must be reported to the Owner or a representative of the booking agent as soon as possible. Guests will be liable for any breakages or damages caused to the property during the guest’s holiday occupation and all costs of repair and replacement shall be payable upon demand.
It is the responsibility of the guests to ensure that all doors and windows are securely locked and that the property is left in a clean and tidy state at the end of the holiday. This means that guests must wash & put away crockery, glassware & cooking utensils; remove all foodstuffs from the refrigerator; properly dispose of rubbish in bins provided; and sweep up excess dirt and sand on the floors.
In the event that cleaning of the house exceeds the cleaning time allowance specified in the final confirmation, the guest will be charged for the cost of excess cleaning at the rate of $50 per hour and this amount will be deducted from the security bond or from the authorized credit card.
It is PROHIBITED to dispose of fish offal and waste in the rubbish bins. All fish offal must be discarded at the bins provided at the fish cleaning stations at the Marina, Bundegi and Tantabiddi.
Declaration and Agreement
Payment of Tariff & Bond constitutes agreement of Terms and Conditions outlined above and acknowledges the following:
“I hereby acknowledge that I am the guest named on the Booking Form and I have read and I understand the following booking conditions and that all information provided by me herein is true and correct. I agree to be held responsible for any and all charges due and payable on this booking. I declare that I am over the age of 18 years.”
